NEXT STEPS

The next patch will be focused a lot on the below items. This will change how future content gets released as well as free me up to focus more on developing game features

After this patch, a few different content ideas will be presented to the community to see what people are interested in.

QoL Improvements

  • Locking energizement lines while rerolling. This will increase the cost of energizing, but you will be able to make progress toward your gear rather than let it sit in your inventory until it's perfect.
  • Tutorials for other parts of the game. The tutorial system for Mining Laser has been well-received so far, and the same type of tutorial for other game (like the market) will help new players not feel so overwhelmed.
  • Inventory tweaking to allow for more easy categorization of items. Want to view just your monster drops? Click “Monster Drops” and boom, your inventory is filtered.
  • Notifications.

Polls

New content will be polled! If you're familiar with Old School Runescape at all, they have a similar system in place.

Essentially, new content will be shown to the community before release. Certain aspects will be polled on a “yay/nay” voting system. This will help shape the content that makes it into the game and helps ensure that I don't release things like Empower (on release) again. It also helps me focus on the content you care about the most!

Voting in polls will be limited to VIP accounts only. This will limit the creation of “voting” accounts as well as make sure I'm hearing from the players who are most invested into the game.

Chat Rework

Chat sucks right now. It will be a bit of work to improve it, but will also allow for features a lot of you have been asking for, like ignoring players, etc.

Moderation Tools

With the addition of a new mod team, I will also be working on new tools for them. This will allow them to solve problems easier, which will enable me to step back from hands-on moderating the game as much. In turn, this gives me more time to focus on new features for the game, which is a win all around!
